= Runaway rpmq process or need to rebuild rpm db =

check if you have some runaway processed from rpmq (usually 100% cpu for a long time):
<pre>
lsof | grep /var/lib/rpm/
</pre>

Then kill them one by one.

Lastly, remove the __db* files and rebuild the db:
<pre>
rm -f /var/lib/rpm/_db*
rpm --rebuilddb -vv
</pre>

Done.
